Is this 1655 a franken? I hope not....

I recently bought this 1655 for a good, but fair price, and I am very happy with it. However, I have encountered several articles of how people convert relatively undesirable 1675's into 1655's by just changing the insert, dial, hands etc. Now, after thoroughly reading through the articles and examining my watch, I can't help but see one inconsistency that is majorly bugging. The crown guards and crown. It seems to me that the crown on my watch is slightly too small than the other examples I have seen, so it is slightly unsettling. The crown guards also seem a little too thick for watches of the same year ie 1983. For your reference, this features a 7.8 million serial number, so from my understanding, it is one of the last batches.
Am I imagining this? Or is there something seriously wrong with the watch?

To utilize this forum next time. Vintage Rolex's are a whole 'nother ball game compared to other watches, so many nuances to look for :(
Do never forget to buy the seller, too.
No hurry, just time to check all, to investigate a bit, and to check if the seller is serious or not. Vintage Rolex is such a minefield. Lesson learned. Best, Nicolas
It is difficult to call as your pics are sharp enough
But I would suggest you to at least check the model # on the case, if it said 1655 then bring it to the Rolex Services Center to check it for you.

You should demand your money back. Whatever you paid was not "fair"'because everything shown in the pics is fake.
