5036 or 6036?

As part of my daily work I am fortunate to handle some very nice timepieces.
This is a particularly memorable one!
From a quick search I believe this is either a Rolex ref.5036 or a 6036 and it is known as the Jean Claude Killy model.
Does anyone know how to tell if the watch is a 5036 or a 6036?
It has an engraving for 1952 on the caseback.
Also does anyone know if this reference or similar has appeared at auction recently.
Many thanks for any information you have.

a 6036 with two piece case. Slight inconsistency between day & month rings (in French), and dial printing (in English). The dial has very small hints to it possibly having been repainted... Beautiful watch all the same! MW :-)
Thanks Ed.

The watch is being serviced soon and I will look for the reference number. Your watch looks great on the wrist and I'm sure it gives you a lot of pleasure to wear it. Do you know which is rarer- the 5036 or the 6036? Do you think the day and date in Frenc...

It sure gives my immense pleasure when ever I wear the watch. Not really sure 5036 or 6036 is rarer, but the fact they both are Killys makes it rare. Mike could be right to point out that your's a repaint. Especially the marker lumes indicates that it is,...
