Try a Bonetto Cinturini 328 rubber Nato
It can easily be converted to a single pass strap by removing the pins that hold the second layer. The strap is reasonably thin, very pliable, and secure. Comes in a variety of colors, too. I have a navy and a grey, and they both look great on my MN FXD. ...
I don't like hearing that about the OEM velcro
Frankly it doesn't FEEL very secure. The velcro part comes unstuck too easily for comfort. I'm sorry you proved that to be so! I've mostly been wearing mine on elastic MN-style straps from the watch steward ...
The Velcro is a pain.
