That photo could have been taken 30 years ago. I'm not sure why, possibly there's no other time reference point.
Actually it was taken in 2014 off my balcony in Maui overlooking Lanai.
I think I bought it in 2008ish and still have it. My only Rolex and one I wouldn't part with.

Aside from the Sea Dweller it's been: Older Panerai Submersibles (the 00024) GO SeaQ Fifty Fathoms of every goddamn size and in both titanium and steel Omega PloProf (titanium only! steel just too heavy for comfort) and, of course, Doxas of every goddamn ...
These also had the smaller markers and hands than the never versions with the maxi dials.

That would be a frustrating combo of expense and non-functionality, though--sort of a different thing than what I've been looking for lately!
Yeah the dials and markers have changed sizes over the years but I'm not sure when the hands changed to bigger sizes.
Mine is an "F" serial number which is about a 2006 I think. And it still has the thinner hands.
