I don't spend my time to worry about the bakelite. I live with it, and quite well. It is one of the jewels of my collection.

I will not find another dial like this easily.
And I don't want to pay 10 K euros just to find such a dial, in case of problem. It has been serviced. Seriously serviced. No watchmaker will tell you " go and have a good swim with it ". If he told me such a thing, I would run and find another watchmaker...

In theory the 6542 is WR to 50 meters. NOS. But what about the plexy? It is water resistant enough when used?
Sorry, but I won't play with my treasure. Even if, with new seals and a new plexy, some will say that 50 meters is enough. I don't want to come back and cry after a ruined watch, just because I wanted to test its water resistance. If some want to play tha...

Always a great watch on the wrist and each is a jewel for any collector. Do you get any far actually as many people must always approach you for your watch?
It's an exceptional watch.. There has been a certain reluctance on my side to just casually wear it.. Changed meanwhile & I enjoy it !
