And I don't want to pay 10 K euros just to find such a dial, in case of problem.
It has been serviced. Seriously serviced. No watchmaker will tell you " go and have a good swim with it ". If he told me such a thing, I would run and find another watchmaker.

I don't spend my time to worry about the bakelite. I live with it, and quite well. It is one of the jewels of my collection.

I can very well unterstand your points! But that leads me to conclude that the results of the WR thread some weeks ago aren\'t really applicable to vintage watches? Best, Thomas
In theory the 6542 is WR to 50 meters. NOS. But what about the plexy? It is water resistant enough when used?
Sorry, but I won't play with my treasure. Even if, with new seals and a new plexy, some will say that 50 meters is enough. I don't want to come back and cry after a ruined watch, just because I wanted to test its water resistance. If some want to play tha...

Always a great watch on the wrist and each is a jewel for any collector. Do you get any far actually as many people must always approach you for your watch?
It's an exceptional watch.. There has been a certain reluctance on my side to just casually wear it.. Changed meanwhile & I enjoy it !
