Nothing original, I fear, as you well know the two watches I'm speaking about... But if I had to sum my Vintage Rolex Collection in only two pieces ( Thanks, God, I don't have to go into such a painful dilemma ), it would certainly be these two... By far ...

the 6542 for sure, it is the epitome of what a tool watch is, the other has to be a Submariner I agree but...which one, I love the big crowns, but for me red sub 200m first, why? Whilst the non dates are the "purest" option, the date, made the Submariner ... 

Just a normal Red Sub, no 200 meters first, as it is a '72 one: But with a small trick, you can get both of the GMT and Sub world... Here it is: Best, Nicolas....

Funnily, these 2 are under rated in their category... The 6542, being a GMT, is less sought than a Sub, and the Tudor is much less appreciated than the 6538 / 5510 / 6200, but not less interesting. Maybe it is also the reason why I love this pair so much!... 

Here's my personal Everest. I have tried, but it was impossible for me to pick only one or two....  

A special feeling for the DRSD... This brown dial is to die for. Well, the PN is not bad, either. Two watches I miss in my collection. Less fan of the Comex... Go figure why, it never made me dream... Best, Jeff, and congrats for this " hat trick ". Nicol...

your love for crowns without crown guards has left an impression on me, to be sure...... I've become obsessed with the current Milgaus! I think part of the appeal of vintage watches is how the particular instance of a model has evolved over the years, how... 

How were the watches we see today? What are their roots? What is the impact of the original watches on the modern iterations? Here lies the interest of these Vintage watches. Can you imagine these 2 are 53 years old??? They are so modern, still. Best, Nic... 

If I could go back in time with what I know now I might have been lucky enough to add them to my box. Luckily I can bask in the reflected glory of yours, my friend.
