I was also looking between the two but unlike you, I did not have the option as the ADs I visited did not have the GV. I did the next best ting which was to buy the GMT IIc as it was a useful complication, has a date magnified ( I am getting long-sighted) and as new as it could get from Rolex in terms of technology and design.
Bottom-line : Go for what suits you and hat you like best! Good luck deciding.
GMT II vs Milgauss GV
It's definately bad out there, and finally for so long both the GMT II (green) and Milgauss GV are both within my reach. I'm undecided , which would you buy? And Why?
GMT II for versatility
I have owned both, the GMT is more sporty (along the line of other Rolex models) but the Milguass is more unique and dressy. If you don't own any other Rolex's then get the GMT This message has been edited by drehy on 2008-11-29 05:07:01
