I still do not have a Rolex in my collection...
but I´ll give you my opinion (in this sense I'm completely unbiased) ...
The other day I went to an AD and I was trying on many current models (I wanted to try the current models in Rolex for see what I feel): Deep-Sea, Sub date and no date, Sub LV, Sea-dweller, Gmt ceramic, steel Daytona and Milgauss.
Of all the models the one that initially attracted me most was the Sea-dweller (I believe that it´s or will be discontinued, no??), because it has calendar but not the magnifying glass of increase. In this absence a Sub no date would be a good option.
The Sub LV is really impressive.
The Seep-sea seemed me too heavy and a bit disproportionate (and you must know that some Panerai have gone through my house and that I wear a 47 mm California).
The Gmt is precious, especially the detail of the hand of the double time zone in green. And the ceramic bezel is great. It is very nice and a great watch.
But the model that most surprised me was the Milgauss (I only saw it in pictures). I think it´s a watch provided with a different case and quite successful, besides having a very particular aesthetic, but really beautiful. The model I tried was one with black dial (they not had in stock the GV). In my wrist, the Milgauss was more comfortable that the GMT.
After all this, I recommend that you think if you want a beautiful and great "every day´s" watch: a little more sportly (Gmt) or a little more elegant (milgauss). But both are great and beautiful watches.
These are my toughts and my feelings when I tried them.
Best.
Emilio.
