Don't get me wrong, the OQ is a nice piece
But it is counter-intuitive that quartzes end up being more expensive over the long run.
I believe this technology is better suited for low end watches with a life of say 10 years but Rolex was experimenting at the time and they - as usual - ended up with a very good product.

Yes Vin, mechanicals are better. I had manny quartz watches which not survived the stand of time. If quartz was better, i had now 8 watches extra into my collection. Coming back to the oyster quartz, it is not a common peace. Back into 2001, i was looking...
