I'm an Explorer fanboy...current owner of the three previous reference models. I'll get my hands on the new 124270...sooner or later. What I like about the new one is the case size and the lume on the 3,6,9. Thank you for posting the differences between the old and new. Keep enjoying the classic piece you have.

and the funny thing about subjectivity is I think all those differences favor the new one! The slightly beefier case, slightly bolder dial, and more tapered bracelet are all plusses to me. I'm very eager for it.
