Gents, Riyadh Rolex AD advice please
My friend will be working in Riyadh soon (for a 2-3 year contract) and is very interested in visiting the various Riyadh Rolex ADs to pursue a steel GMT. He fully understands the waiting game, patience, consistent visits and friendly, open communication. However he's unaware of the local sensibilities when conducting a visit to the AD. Also he's aware of the male dress expectations in general when in public (no shorts, preferably long sleeve, sneakers) however would it be to his advantage to dress slightly better when visiting the AD boutiques? Such as dressier trousers, dress shoes and long sleeve dress shirt?
Also, since Riyadh has multiple Rolex ADs and the store managers all know eachother is it ill-advised to pursue the GMT in all locations? Or should he stick to one location?
Any advice would be wonderful!

In terms of local culture and customs…
His first port of call would be his company HR. There are several organizations in the ME that I know of have HR specialists to help overseas hires on assimilation. I am sure he will have a great time visiting the shops in Riyadh.
I don’t think that dress better will help him much. We been living in Saudi for sometime and I see no issues with wearing shorts or the tshirt to mall or visiting boutique
If wants to be addend on waiting list he needs to have valid Iqama (resident ID). Without it nobody will really consider his request.

Although it's hot and wearing shorts and short sleeve shirt makes sense... I wasn't sure if a man showing a lot of leg and arm skin inside the malls was allowed. Please help with this aspect. Especially in a high end boutique like Rolex. Best, Robert
I live in Khobar and wearing shorts during weekdays visits . Fridays normally are more formal and security may ask to wear longer pants.
Probably trying to build relationship and get yourself on list being more formal could help.
