Baron - Mr Red

Glad to have excited the South American interest!
I have owned the watch for about two years or so. There is definitely something about the Red Subs in general, but for me the metres first Red Subs in particular. I appreciate that the gilt dials have a very special appeal, but when you get a non-gilt dial with just that right amount of "cream" in the lume, well - its just awesome. When i put this one on my wrist for the first time, i just knew i was going to like it more and more.
The South American connection with the Ricciardi appeal was obviously something I researched after buying the watch, but as I said, a good friend of mine in Munich told me it was gold and I did, at the time, rely on that expertise. Since then, I have looked at the retailer and the unusual nature of the watch. The box, for example. The stamping on the original papers. And of course the very special serial number that is unique to the watch. All little features that make me appreciate this watch a great deal.
The thing is, I can see just why this watch appeals to my South American friends here. But, (and this is a truly gratifying thing) it is great to have hooked a few non S.Ams into the net......yes even Vlad gets impaled by a Ricciardi GMT hunt! That is very satisfying.
I look forward to putting a report together on my watch showing some of the special details and some of that history already mentioned by a few .
Thanks for all the very kind comments. And yes, i love the strap combo too!!!
