The watch you talk about was the same type exactly as my very first Rolex. I actually sold that watch to a friend of mine and have been nagging him for the last two years to sell it back to me.
I have no idea how much the watch is worth now. What i do know is that the specific watch i sold to my friend is worth more to me than anyone else who is likely to try to buy it!

base my decision on how much you like it, how often you wear it and you perspective alternative.... No one can tell what value it will have in the future... You should also bear in mind that many of these were made and you could easily find another one in...
