Good Morning Time
A watch that was packed way way back in the vault. While I’ve taken it out a few times in the last couple of years as I’ve moved stuff around I don’t think I’ve worn this one in three or more years.
16750, from 80/81 if I remember correctly. Matte dial. I bought it in the mid 2000s and at the time it was on a jubilee bracelet. This Oyster I bought subsequently in Japan about ten years ago. I think the bracelet cost about half of what the watch cost !!
Never been a huge GMT fan, and never really warmed to this one. Which is why it gets so little wrist time. But the entry point was so low it pretty much justified holding onto it all this time despite the lack of wear. Collecting can be strange some times.

It looks pretty great to me...but everyone is different and perceives things differently obviuosly. Color combinations, size, metals, etc...sometimes it just doesn't evoque anything special for some and other think it's the greatest watch ever...lol....co...

As mentioned in my reply to Nicolas above it’s actually a simple fix to get this GMT to something I prefer aesthetically…just a new bezel. I haven’t gotten there yet despite owning this watch for a long long time.
That was always the plan.
But I never quite got there on the Sub. Modern yes, neo vintage (Kermit) yes, but not the 5512 or 5513 I had thought about for years. As always with watch collecting there is unfinished business!
Also nice to have a plan even long term goals can be achieved.
No rush and enjoy the ride. The journey is as much fun as the destination.
