Thank you for sharing these great photographs of your awesome collection of 1016 Explorers. I love this reference, specially the older version with gloss and gilt dial (doesn´t mean I do not like the other three!)

3 Generations of Explorer 1016
These is my 1016 collection The first is a Gilt and Gloss from 1964. Second and third are 67 and 82 with original mate dials. Only bad thing is the missing Dome Glass on the 1982... I M looking for a long time, real hard to find. In my opinion the Explore...

I agree with you, What can be wrong with someone the uses and understand the beauty of a 1016. I love to have all Explorer I I find, but it's just impossible to find good examples, I really not a big fan of the ones with redone dial or lumens.
