Rolex

These is my 1016 collection The first is a Gilt and Gloss from 1964. Second and third are 67 and 82 with original mate dials. Only bad thing is the missing Dome Glass on the 1982... I M looking for a long time, real hard to find. In my opinion the Explore...

Marine Chronometers in my opinion are the best mechanical clocks ever made, I think is was harder to make a clock mechanically precise and reliable them complicate like those Calendar on Moonphases, at sea where not tolerate to failures correct time was c...

I just can't wear the one with the wrong glass. I will make it, I friend will make some identical based on the original I have. He has some equip to do it. I post a pic after all.

I agree with you, What can be wrong with someone the uses and understand the beauty of a 1016. I love to have all Explorer I I find, but it's just impossible to find good examples, I really not a big fan of the ones with redone dial or lumens.

the 1016 is definitely an underestimated Rolex sportswtach, you have a beautiful trio of them !

I agree, all the 36mm vintage toll watches are underestimated... In 10 years with the new chinnese market I will not be able to buy them anylonger. Best regards Alex
