Hello dear Joe! How nice you feel so happy with this watch...
... You are right when you say that a new watch usually brings the desire to wear it for a long period of time even if our usual custom is to change every two or three days for a different one in our collection.
Anyway, it has been my experience that, if you still keep the desire for more than ten days, then the new watch has "something else" in it. That is a very special watch!
I like the ceramic version of the GMT a lot.
But I am still waiting for a red and blue ceramic bezel to take the plunge.
Your reports and enthusiasm for your blue/black version has been very inspiring to me, and led me to take a personal look at a local AD. I loved it! ... but I guess I still will wait for the red and blue (or red and black for that matter).
I´m pretty sure Rolex will release it sooner or later.
I also think that Rolex shouldn´t have the polished central links in the bracelets of their present line of sport-tool watches. I still prefer the satin finish in these watches.
I´m really happy for you with your experience with this watch. Your posts reflect how much it makes you smile, and how much you love it!

A few people questioned this from looking at scans....
.....reality is simply that it actually works well.... it synthesises with great ease. I think this was something that was on Chris's radar....would be interesting to see if he finds the same if/when he tries on the watch.

The depth of the ceramic bezel. Which reminds me the depth and wamrth of the 6542 bakelite bezel. For the rest, yes, totally different watches.

.....the font on the bezel is really apropos for the GMT. When there is something about a watch that nags at me, i tend to find that the "issue" is the only thing i see. I am drawn to what i see as the fault. With this GMT, there is no basic fault for me....
