Here are some answers to your questions

Just have  a few questions:
1) Is that 5512 did come with Chronometer certificates because the early ones did have have that written on their dials?
A - Yes that was a distinguishing feature of the 5512 which is COSC unlike the 5513 which is not.

2) All 5513 had chronometer certified so no need for certificate?
A - No the 5513 was non COSC

3) Does your date mean that by 1989 Rolex produced roughly 12million watches?
A - I have no idea as to real production numbers I just did a fun exercise based on serial numbers to evaluate a possible scenario to guess at production and the gilt component.

4) From my understanding 5512 is more rare and sought after, are you a collector of 5512 too? Why so many 5513?
A - The 5512 is more rare in the sense that less where produced and sold because the 5513 was a cheaper alternative and people did not really see the benefits of the COSC.  But finding great examples of either 5513 or 5512 in the gilt period is always a challenge. I do collect 5512 models also.

Thanks

Bill
