try and find an all original perfect specimen with untouched dial.
They still go for a fortune
As regards the striped, yes they were faked a lot but I think most experienced collectors could tell the difference
The dealer in London should be able to tell the difference- unless they were trying to buy yours cheaply
Pieces that have redone dials are very common and that reduces the price- like any vintage Rolex
This particular piece that Nico showed is VERY expensive
