As for me, I don't like vintage just for being vintage but for being in very good condition, having a lot of charm/patina, with all elements original and coherent in terms of period (dial, caliber, bracelet and/or buckle, insert...).
Only in this condition a vintage piece attracts me, retains my attention and eventually my love. That's why a restored / redone vintage piece fails to interest me in general.
And that's why in spite of not really being the right moment (financially speaking), I had no other choice but to succumb recently to the charm of a beauty that I'll show you soon... he he he
Enjoy your 5508 a lot, it's a beauty
Cheers,
Mike
