You know my tastes, when it comes to vintage Rolex. 6542 or Tudor 7924. The outsiders being the Explorers. But when you see such a fine specimen of a 5508, and better, when you are lucky to own it... You can only love it. With the correct insert, I am in ...

As for me, I don't like vintage just for being vintage but for being in very good condition, having a lot of charm/patina, with all elements original and coherent in terms of period (dial, caliber, bracelet and/or buckle, insert...). Only in this conditio... 

As I said before, your vintage rollie collection is as good as Baron's vintage Rolex collection

I will probably try to purchase a 1680 from the year 1978 (which is my birth year) or 16800 and for the other vintage models probably gmt 1675/16750 and a date just 1600/16000. I think those are among the essential watches from Rolex that are still afford...
