5512 chapter ring in the early '60ies are among the best vintage Rolex ever manufactured. The pure essence of the Submariner model. Congratulation because it's a "perfect matching" piece.

It's hard to believe, that this piece was sitting in a safe only 10 miles away. And I nearly bottled it, if it hadn't been for my stalwart supporter. A pussy Galore, from 1958 is on my list, I think that the ones that have been shown by Nicolas, Baron, Bi... 

i was also looking at a 5512, but the dial was from a 5513(service dial) as was the caseback( supposed to be correct) so i chose as clean a 5513 as i could find. i've done a bit of reading and the 64 5512 i was looking at was a chronometer which should ha...

don't worry...the 5512 came with 1530, 1560 and 1570 movements...came with all three versions.

Like you I also find it very distracting with all the many different websites, all appearing to put in their own contradicting points of view. I too got stuck on the different movements, but having carried out research after research and getting reassuran...

To get one with the 4 line dial last year.. But finally opted to get another Panerai.. Kind of regretted my decision, as it is so difficult to find one in such condition.. So I'm saying you're very lucky! Wear it in best health! Sam
