In my humble opinion, years from now...
Collectors may consider the SD4000 to be the last of the "old" sea dweller, serving as the transitional model to the "new" model with the current. With the short duration of production, it may become the coveted one. Who knows how long Rolex will produce this one? It might be for a while, similar to the LV green sub.

I am far from an authority on Rolex, but I think this watch looks much better in the smaller case.
Not a criticism - this still looks "nice" - but the larger size loses the charm of the 116600. I also don't care for the massive cyclops. The 116600 is "just right" proportion wise, this one is not for my tastes.

As mentioned, I am far from any sort of authority on Rolex. But I am fairly sure I would enjoy that watch on my wrist. Maybe the smaller one just a bit more. Happy for you Luca, you got a keeper, and that is very special.
