Rolex

it's a shame to me......

That a toolwatch as the Submariner, with it's tremendous heritage, get's a green soigne, double colour dial we normally only see in a Datejust / Daydate?!
This soigne effect gets it's maximum when it's hit by sunlight...something a steel Submariner was never designed for..... I was in Basel to see it live, besides
the crazy decision to accept this dial, the green on the bezel is way off....specially in combination with chosen dial.. Imho when green is the colour of Rolex,
and this has to be expressed in a special model, why didn't they choose instead for a dark green porcelein dial with matching ceramique bezel, that doesn't
hit you in the face but can be worn more decently... At German Rolex forum this model was named 'Hulk' after 30 minutes of Basel introduction pictures.....
I've to doubt that the one that's responsable for this creation does not know Rolex Heritage...specially that part when visionair & Rolex director in 50&60ies
Rene-Paul Jeanneret invented the 'toolwatch' concept...obvliously more people inside Rolex forgot about him as his name has never been mentioned again ;-(

Why green anyway? dark brown with gilt & silver print instead maybe ;-)
