New Yorker Magazine: Five Decades of Rolex Advertisements
Rolex advertisements (to the best of my knowledge) have appeared uninterrupted in the New Yorker magazine since the 1940s, the first Rolex advertisement appearing in the magazine in December 1942 and as recently as November, 2023 (a big ugly Sea-Dweller). I cannot think of many (if any) magazines in which Rolex advertisements have appeared for 80 years; I am guessing at least 300 different Rolex advertisements have appeared in the New Yorker magazine.
Enclosed is a sample of Rolex advertisements appearing in the New Yorker magazine from the 1940s through the 1980s.
