For once, I won't speak about GMTs, but give the honors to the Sub, and to their owners. Those who think that a Submariner is a Submariner should pay attention to the following pictures. We had the pleasure to admire some no crownguards Subs, such as this...

When it comes to Submariners, I have a soft spot for the no crownguards versions, such as the 6536, 5508, 7924, 6200, 7922 and so on. BUT: 1/ I have a 5513 in my collection, the M.N. 2/ I will certainly go for a gilt Submariner... A nice 1964 5513, or a T...

I know that mine is 1 7xx xxx, I didn't check the other. As for your other questions, I bought mine when it came back after a total service from Rolex Geneva. They ( sadly ) polished the case, and replaced the hands. But the burglars gave him some extrra ...

Nicolas-you have shown us nice examples indeed. A 5508 and 5512 PCG and exclaimation dial are my favourites by far. They belong to any serious collection of Submariners. I also like your BC Tudor more and more. If you ever feel like swapping it for a nice...

I only ask when I can also check the quartal and the year, inside the case back... Which is not always possible, if you don't perpetually have the case opener with you. ;) Best, Nicolas.

I always admire those early submariners .. That 5512 with 4 line is one of em, and I recently was shown by a fellow Purist, a nice 5508, it grows on me.. I think it's so much better than it is in picture I'm still in my quest looking for a perfect one for...
