Rolex

Rolex, perhaps Vintage, certainly interesting

Thanks for the interesting lead-in post. I've had a few Rolexes along the path of my watch journey. Here is my favorite, and currently my only Rolex.

The seller's pictures,, from June 2005. These images intrigued me, as they seemed unlike a "normal" Rolex. The slang term for this model was "gas meter dial".

I've had at least a half-dozen Rolexes of various sorts, most of which seem to have found new homes. Either I "converted" them into another watch, or sold them due to lack of interest or readability (see what I mean?). This Daytona was just to hard to see.

No reading problems with Mr Gas Meter.

I briefly toyed with this Milgauss because it would go well with my car (certainly a reason to buy a watch)...

but ended up with this one instead, perhaps because I had more blue cars than orange ones.

Former Rolexes? A few:

I never really liked black cars (because it's too sunny where I live)  though I have had a few, and same goes for the black dial Rolexes.

Others I have been custodian to for years, but eventually the owner came and asked for them back.

I've forgotten your original question... sorry.
