... now, reading and viewing more watches and comments of our colleagues, in this thread,  I need to ask...  may be a silly question...

We call tropical to black dials turning evenly brown in our Submariners, GMTs and probably Explorers 1 too.

But how we call the fading and change color in some 1680 gold case/blue dial Subs?

Or the fading in some other references dials, like my old Date Just I showed some days ago, whose original deep blue dial changed to purple?

Are they called just "color change"? or can be considered also "tropicals"? As a matter of fact, I feel that the color change -whichever the original color was- was produced by the very same factors (failure of lacquer, exposition to humidity, exposure to sun light, etc.).

What´s your opinion, and those of our friends here?
