I had a nice red sub for many years but I sold because I hoped to find an earlier MF example that was a bit more patinated. Luckily, this popped up at an auction not too long ago and somewhat to my surprise I ended up with the high bid. It came with a bunch of accessories including service papers from 2011, anchor, hang tags, wallet, literature, period correct box and a punched chronometer certificate that appears to be well-aged so it could actually be original (although I know many of these are faked). The bracelet matches the date inside the case back although it is one link short.
😂 Looking great and love the patina sweatshirt comment.
I am going to start using that when my wife says that I need to throw out my favorites saying they are not worn - they have great patina.
