Rolex makes some of the best (if not the best) watch for the price (MSRP). You don't need to be a millionaire to buy one. The supply gets caught up by dealers, including authorized dealers, who hoard them and sell them on the grey market. Everyone rags on Rolex, but the supply issue is not their fault. Rolex has recently started to crack down on this hoarding practice which is part of the reason (among many) why grey market prices are declining.

But more of an accomplishment watch. You've worked hard to get to point x and it's a good watch to buy and celebrate and wear for the rest of your life type watch. I feel that a lot of Rolex collectors aren't like us they are not acquiring several of them...

Agreed. The interest rate pendulum is swinging back the other direction. How far and quickly it swings will impact luxury goods.
