i had my two-tone phase with the patek 5980AR, which is IMHO infinitely nice than the rolex GMT two-tone. still, i got bored by the watch after a short
time and it had to go, for the 5980 1R. i think the reason is that two-tone just makes for a very nervous look, which one gets bored with. and this comes
from somebody who likes clingy watches like the daytona YG green dial::

Two tone Rolex have suffered as the stepbrother over the years. I think it is coming around very fast.
It has always been stuck between the steel and gold not finding its very nature. Before you know they will be harder to find and very popular. Great catch. Enjoy. Bill

Sometimes we have to trust our “boss” on watch taste, and she wanted it the moment she saw it at a local Baselworld exhibition. Brands are right about targeting women market now.

The two tone in this case is very subtle, blended by the brown and black cerachrom...
It takes a bit of getting used to and it’s my first but taste do change over time. For your case, both 5960 AR or 5980 1R can’t go wrong, it’s from a prestigious name 😬
This is probably the second two tone watch I like.

it has a warmth that looks very different from the simple steel Rolex that we all love.
It does look very different and the RG accent on the bezel cutoff blends in with the brown-black.
