Unusual? How do we know?
For shure i'm not the only owner of a BB Bronze. What are the experiences of other owners? Please share!
Btw patina is the result of a chemical reaction in the uppermost layer of the case. It is not on top of the case.
If this layer is thicker than the layer with the lasered nunbers, the numbers will be affected

Ouups ... Patina eats case and reference number
My one and a half year old Tudor Black Bay Bronze looses slowly its case and reference number! The patina eats them away ... Reference number ... gone! Case number ... nearly gone! ...
Sure! Steel’s patina takes decades whereas bronze months.
