I'd been hoping for this watch last year at Basel 2011. When it didnt come then, I had sort of given up hope that Rolex would make a ceramic no date sub.
Now here it is, finally, and I am oddly ambivalent about it, even though it had been my #1 fantasy "I wish they would make this" watch last year. Maybe its because I got an AP Diver and SS Daytona and just dont need another sports watch.
Will have to see it in the metal and on the wrist to see if it can reignite my excitement.
No Date Submariner
No Date Sub gets a Ceramic Bezel, Glidelock Clasp and Chromalight Lume...
The most appealing offer from this year collection. IMO.
Even if I would have preferred slender lugs.... And / or a larger bracelet. Best, Nicolas

Now I am torn between the new Explorer II and this! I love the white faced Explorer II but I have always wanted a ND Sub! The Sky Dweller should have been a tool watch with an annual calendar function.
Wait, I found the clear winner for me, this year... The new Yachtmaster.

Hermano, have you noticed that...
this new case would benefit from old school chamfering (bevels)??? It would make the lugs look finer. If Tudor is doing it, why souldn't mother hen (rolex) do it? Saludos amigo mío. René

They shouldn't have discontinued it. Better, they should have updated it with a saphire domed crystal like that on the Tudor Black Bay! I think they would sell tons of it Best regards. René

Honestly I like bevels but this case with no date is sharp. I have been considering a C sub for a while. Depends on when they make it to store shelves. I don't have much patience and don't want to pay a premium.

every AD still has a couple of these in stock. Now is the time. I buy watches to wear, but in this case, Im keeping the manufacturer's stickers on until 2053.
