You ask why?
Because I don't like broken tracks - the minute track is broken by the logo and the moon phase - and the moonphase display makes no sense to me.
And because in a precious metal watch of this kind I expect a nice movement, a small seconds (not sweep) and a display back.
Now, if Rolex would make a triple calendar in steel.....

Has someone got it on order? I know the price takes it into deep waters, but as it is a Rolex (which is probably the reason why so few if any have got one) we all know the quality will be up to par, and most likely over it's contenders. And looking at it ...
For me, it was honestly the best piece online from Basel 2017, but when I saw it in person and compared it to the other offerings, the Yachtmaster II just blew my socks off :D Cellini is on
the top 5 list for me for sure, but it can't really compete to some others in person Granted, there are Cellinis that I would definitely want to add to the collection but the Cellini has been put in a what Credor is for Seiko, Cellini is for Rolex section...

I'm assuming that once the full moon is pointed to with the arrow that it is a full moon, half moon is somewhere in between and no moon is the blank circle indicator on the moon phase. Hope that helped.

Very handsome and incredible details but Rolex is much named with other popular models(20-30 models).So when it comes to Cellini comparison is with the giants like Lange,Patek.

I've been looking at it off and on and I think I know why it's not on my wish list. Some of the styling cues feel dated like that bezel in a 90s or 80s sort of way. Proportions seem to be a bit thin visually. I'd go with a standard JLC master control moon...
