I am amazed at how high-end Seiko goes inn the realm of watch making. Very excited to learn more. Bill

.. while the watch part is Spring Drive and that is really "head scratching" part.... SEIKO has potential to make wonderful all mechanical version of this today or tomorrow, and that must be surprising and somewhat "threatening" for Swiss watch brands. Lo... 

Thats the most innovative and exclusive part. People and WIS in particular should be screaming for it in every grand Seiko

But wait, Im not sure I can agree with you totally, yes it does require a spring to be wound just like a traditional movement from a Patek, ALS ect either by manual wind or with a rotor. The only thing not mechanical is the regulation of the escapement by... 

.. but it will take a while for the majority of the traditional watch lovers to sink in such "new ideas". To most, it is the same as the quartz watches which (allegedly) "destroyed" traditional watchmaking in 70s..... Thanks for your perspective, It is al...
