Seiko

Fair enough and thank you for the kind gesture...

Sometimes it’s not good enough to leave into one’s imagination a watch discussion without showing some pictures. As they say, “picture speaks a thousand words.” I’ll also add that “it can influence people for decision to a certain degree.

Very true in my case. I wasn’t too sure initially about keeping the Seiko SLA017J and did ask for opinion from this forum some months back. The civil discourse of the said watch coupled with some great images made me realized that it is indeed a watch to keep. And eventually I did keep the watch.

Another case is the first spring drive watch made specifically for the US market, in particular the stainless steel SBGA387g. Thanks to Cazalea’s picture I was intrigued by the color, case and hour marker design of said timepiece. In fact, I even commented that I would opt for the more tested snowflake dial. But the “icy blue” dial picture of the 387 posted in this form keeps on resonating in my mind. Eventually I got the chance to see it in person at the boutique and was smitten by it. It didn’t help that the case is the famed Grand Seiko style 44GS with the unique Kirazuri “sparkling painting” dial.

Enjoy this wrist pic.
