Grand Seiko and the Simpsons
As I learned the other day, GS and GO seem to be some of the few watch brands doing wholly without brand ambassadors or patronage from famous personalities. It is a decision I have great admiration for and probably one that few brands can contemplate going through with - so kudos to both.
This is not an unlikely announcement that Homer Simpson will be the new brand ambassador, just misused my wife's sweater, which looks a lot like the opening sequence of the Simpsons, for a wristshot

I find the whole Ambassador idea
very childish and naive. I would never buy a watch because some celebrity is advertising the same. You mentioned that basically all other brands except GO and GS are having Ambassadors. Who are the Celebrities Patek is using? Best, Kari

Although I would never buy it because of the Ambassadors, there are some brands that when I see their advertising and the celebrity trying to look cool, I think, "Why are they endorsing THAT brand? I guess they don't have enough celebrity clout for a bett...

Where top models are endorsing / modeling for fairly cheap brands, it is because those can afford to pay more? Not in all cases of course but known to happen...
