Seiko

I'm perplexed by multiple people claiming they run fast

Consistency is harder to achieve than "speed" so it being fast is a problem, the Grand Seiko service people should slow it down and problem solved.

Watches that run very fast often have a balance wheel spring with two coils touching, which shortens the effective length of the spring and speeds the movement.

GS claims "The best Grand Seiko Mechanical Movement Ever Created"

If it's not satisfactory, we should hold them to the claim.

HERE IS ITS STORY

Personally, I have had about two dozen Grand Seikos and have never had any problems (other than wanting to buy more and thus selling a few along the way).

Here is the spec for that movement:

Winding mechanism Automatic with manual winding
Mean daily rate*1 +5 to -3 seconds per day
Normal usage accuracy +8 to -1 seconds per day
Power reserve ~ 80 hours
Vibrations 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second)
Number of jewels 47 jewels
Features
-Dual Impulse Escapement
-Twin barrels
-Instant date change mechanism

*1 - Mean daily rate is a mean value of daily rates in a condition where the movement before assembly in a case is measured in six positions in a fixed manner under artificially controlled environment for 12 days.
