Seiko

I read nothing but good thongs here about the Grand Seiko watches. I do not have one, the only Seiko I have is my dad's Sportmatic from the 60's-early 70's. Just a question to throw out to fellow members, anyone think Seiko would ever produce a GS tank wa... 

Rectangular with prominent sides (like the treads on a tank)? I think it’s more likely you might find that style in a Credor, rather than GS.

Credor has a Locomotive model designed by Gerald Genta. I have about 50 Seiko, Credor and GS watches. These are the only ones that are not round: Mike ...  

I may be wrong but the current management seems focused on the middle of the market, rather than the edges and non-round watches these days are definitely more edge than middle. This could change but I think they are fairly conservative in their model ran...

Grand Seiko follows Tanaka's Grammar of Design, which calls for perfectly flat polished surfaces, high contrast between different parts of the case, Zaratsu polishing, etc. That makes it hard to create a tank watch. You are more likely to see tank watches...
