Thanks, I actually already did (probably should have mentioned that), but it made no difference sadly. It's a consistent +5.5, so just needs regulating (but they won't do it for free as it's within spec). I might have a polite word with the Seiko UK service centre in a few weeks if nothing changes (and if it still bothers me).

I believe COSC testing is done on the movement, out of the case, in a number of (static) positions. Most manufacturers don't specify "when worn" numbers though, unlike GS, so people tend to assume the watch should perform to COSC specs then also, which is...
