I have the SLA 017, the straight 62MAS reissue, which I really love and enjoy. I’m glad you like yours. 
After having the SLA037 for a month, this is how I think about the pros and cons of this diver.
Pros: 1.The Ever brilliant steel is shiny and if as promised by Seiko should let the watch looks new even after many years(have to wait and see) 2. The high beat movement let the seconds hand sweep smoothly. 3. The dial color is just right ranging from da...
Seiko is always great value for money at every price point.

I dont have a caliper so i did it the brute way and they looked the same width.

But is it really different? For Rolex i understand the 916L and oystersteel are just the same. Just called it differently after a certain point.

I own a 'Sapphire Seiko' diver in the roughly $1000 range I LOVE and wear for work, under the radar but gives me pleasure... getting no attention, although occasionally mistaken for a Submariner by NON WATCH people... anyway... I have the same poor timeke...
Why i stay below the 1k level for Seikos. I think that's where they truly shine, where 20 seconds makes sense, what Seiko really WAS. Having said that, I do like the SLA033. If it doesn't find its way into their prospex line...
I might just bite the bullet and get one. Hope I won't be too late by then
