Arguably iconic. Not the best out there from any perspective including price. Spotty QC. My 07 screws down more confidently than my 09 for example, both being “Japan” examples. Doesn’t hack. Can’t wind it.
But I love it. I wear it most days alternating it with the 07. Can’t explain it. I stare at it intently every single time. Inexplicably beautiful on the wrist. How can something so “cheap” give that much pleasure?
After having the SKX on my wrist, it has kinda extinguished my interest in higher priced Seiko variants which include the GS. Notwithstanding vintage, I think the entry level variants embody what Seiko is all about to be honest. It’s where it packs the most punch.

Best, Echi
