Ken; thank you for the kind words. Yes, the design is classic and IMO, timeless - so much so, that yes, it would be very interesting if it included a mechanical movement. Although, I applaud GS's choice of using the 9f movement. The goal in 1964 was to create the "best practical watch in the world"; the worry-free and accurate 9f quartz movement therefore seems to fit as a fitting tribute. It is certainly part of the charm and appeal to me, in this timepiece.
