Launched just before the crisis in 2008, right? 😊 Agree with all your points and observations, the anthracite markers that turn either silver or full black depending on light conditions, are definitely a hidden highlight of the piece 👌🏻

That really is a beast of a watch and not for the faint hearted or small wristed.
The dial is really nice and clean and I especially like the hour markers but the upside down sub dials would drive me insane even if the case can be rotated. But different is good, can you imagine if we all just wore Rolex Datejusts. Marc
Just rotate the case and they are the right side up 😂
And it doesn’t require that large a wrist, either, due to some design choices made.

I have been thinking about this post — and that for the Tokyo Lion — all day — I want to like them, especially the latter — but the size and design simply aren’t my visceral jam!!
