The yellow dialed version is an early one from July 1969 and the silver dial, made I believe for the Australian market only, is from April 1973.

Thanks, Emmanuel. The reference does have a great deal of history behind it. It's still in question whether Seiko beat the Swiss/Zenith to introduce the first automatic chronograph movement in 1969!

Both of those are nice and look great on the wrist. I’m drawn to the silver dial.

Thanks Ron! I am definitely on a vintage Seiko kit. I'm sure there will come a day when I will ask myself why I bought so many! But for now, let the obsession continue!
