In addition to the Zenith PuristSPro P15, the Omega Speedmaster CK2998 and the Montblanc 1858 Tachymeter, the Seiko Presage 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Chronograph (in both its SRQ019 and SRQ021 forms) has been one of the most popular / most frequent...  

But it is also its problem in a way... too reasonable to be exciting for me. Just my point of view obviously because I have to confess that it is a flawless watch for its price. Fx

And to hear the assessment from you is the highest possible praise indeed, even if it did not make you buy the watch. All I can say is that it grows on you Thanks!

on spending a good sum of dough on a watch not from Switzerland or Germany (risen in recent years). Conventional wisdom is to focus on Switzerland only for watches.....don't let Cazalea see this Rgds Raymond

Although looking at Chrono24 the value retention on GS is very good.

I know I've other Seikos that aren't the slimest, but think I might struggle with this one - it's 16mm isn't it? The dials are wonderful & the fact that it's in the presage line is great. Would def need to try one on though to make a definitive judgement ... 

The less of a problem the thickness is. Initially I had the same misgivings, as it is really not slim. But with time you get used to it (as most of us have gotten used to watches over 38mm ), and it becomes rather normal. But as you say, trying it on is o... 

And it's not a Grand Seiko.
