So you are complaining about one-root-problem...
that manifests itself in several ways, if I understand you. The root problem is the desire to maximize profit. And it manifests itself through shoddy (or shoddier) craftsmanship (poor finishing as one example) and the sales of watches to people who do not understand what they are wearing because the Maisons do not bother to teach-merely to advertise the "luxury" aspect of the product. And you may be thinking of other behaviors by the companies that suggest a lack of appreciate for what they have, and are entrusted with to continue.
