TimeOut

:-) Thanks, Andrew!

I appreciate your interest, and kind words.  I love Celtic designs myself, and have seen some marvelous tattoos based on source material like the Lindisfarne Gospels and other similar illuminated manuscripts.  My minor was in art history (I actually wanted to major in art history, but gave in to parental pressure to study something "useful" -- which turned out to be political science, a topic that ironically has nothing to do with my career in the entertainment industry.), and in my senior year my thesis centered around Viking influence on the architecture of medieval Dublin, the study of which opened my eyes to the immense beauty of Celtic art.

As to the meanings of my own tattoos, I suppose I might broadly categorize them as memento mori...reminders that life is finite, not in a morbid way, but in the sense that we should hold onto the things that are important to us; not forget our own origins; and that more exists under heaven than perhaps we can understand as human beings, whose lifespans are merely a drop in the gigantic bucket of time/space.

smile You'll have to post a picture of your pen, so I can see your kanji!

Cheers,

Daos
