Been meaning to go there for years -- just drove past it a few weeks ago. This weekend, we were at South Coast Plaza and opted to lunch at the Wolfgang Puck Bistro instead of Lawry's Carvery. (Btw, the Bistro's Shrimp Club is pretty darn good)

near Glendale? The center included restaurants, gardens, and a tour of Lawry's Spice packing plant. It closed in the 90s, but was a great place to spend a summer evening outdoors.

For Prime Rib...
Hello Adamska, I recommend Mastro's for Prime Rib, it's significantly better than Lawry's, but it's only served on the weekends. Do you have a favorite place when in the mood for a nice juicy steak? -MW

I haven't yet come across a place that really stood out from the rest in terms of excellent steak. I believe though that Maestro's would definitely put that to rest .
IMO, Mastro's is much better but...
Lawry's creamed corn and creamed spinach has always been consistently good. And the yorkshire pudding is yummy! -MW
I much prefer the steaks at Mastro...
The prime rib is just too big there... But so is this Wagyu bone-in rib eye...I believe it was like 33 oz. For the first time, I didn't finish my steak......
Lawry's is alright but nothing that special given the prices there
The best thing about Lawry's though is the waiting room. Free munchies there Cheers, Anthony

Hello insandiego! Lawry's, Musso & Frank's, Grill on the Alley, The Palm are all old school places for beef. IMO, Mastro's and CUT are much better. Any good Prime Rib in San Diego near you? Lots of good places to eat around SCP, haven't tried it yet b...
